Church’s history dates back to 1617, when Anthony Church, a master shoemaker, began making handcrafted shoes in Northampton, England, a town renowned for producing fine footwear since the Middle Ages. The skill and the title of Master Shoemaker were handed down from generation to generation, up to Thomas Church who then founded the famous brand Church & Co two centuries later, in 1873.
