Loro Piana
The company was founded in 1924 by Pietro Loro Piana, whose family, originally from Trivero, had entered the wool trade at the end of the 19th century. However, it is his nephew Franco who is considered to be the main responsible for the expansion of the company, which over the years has maintained strong roots in the territory, with the factories always concentrated in Valsesia. The fame of Loro Piana is mainly linked to the wool mill, where valuable fabrics such as vicuna, lotus flower, merino and cashmere are processed, of which the company is the first transformer in the world.
