Fashion house founded in the post-war years by Pierre Balmain at Lucien Lelong's atelier, alongside Christian Dior and Hubert de Givenchy. He achieved immediate success, mainly due to his in-depth knowledge of haute couture techniques. Throughout the decades, Balmain has always remained faithful to the pioneering spirit of its founder. Since Pierre Balmain's death in 1982, several designers with strong personalities have succeeded each other at the creative helm of the house, each one combining with wise balance modern needs and respect for the origins and traditions of the brand.
